OEM Replacement Part (Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable) is used in the Repair & Maintenance of the non-working Face ID Module(integrated into the Front Camera) of the iPhone.
The most common cause of non-working Face ID is worn and torn or damaged Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable.
With the release of the iPhone X, the Face ID was introduced. Unlike other CellPhones, iPhone’s Face ID is locked, meaning once the iPhone Face ID or Front Camera is damaged, Face ID cannot be activated even if you swap the Front Camera Module from another iPhone (same model), the Face ID feature won’t work. The Front Camera Module has been paired to the Logic Board.
It gives 3rd Party repair, a hard time, the only possible outcome is to swap the Original Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable with a replacement part.
Please Note:
1. Flex Cable cannot be used alone. There is a need for a Programmer to test the issue in the non-working Face ID Module(integrated into the Front Camera) of the iPhone. Most of the time the issue gets resolved by replacing the Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable. But there is a need to check the TEST STATUS of the Face ID Module before commencing on replacing the Flex Cable. Even after assembling it’s required to be tested whether the problem is resolved or not.
2. It is rare. yet a possibility that even after replacing the Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable, the Face ID won’t be working. This may be because of multiple reasons like the repair work is not done properly or some other component is damaged during repair work or maybe the Dot Matrix Chip is damaged.
3. Programmer is not included with this Dot Matrix Projector Flex Cable. However, it’s a must-have for the repair of non-working Face ID Modules. The Programmer helps in diagnosing the issue for the non-working of the Face ID Module.
