Guess The Fence is a guess-and-write game that will help improve visual reasoning and analytical skills. It’s perfect for families to have a great time but also introduce kids to an innovative learning experience. Enjoy with them as they apply their knowledge of geometry to make shapes with fences and develop essential skills that go beyond academics. This is a simple but highly addictive educational game. Your entire family will simply not have enough of this brainy guessing game!
How To Play?
Shape shifters!
Both players must secretly make one of each shape on their farm boards. Shapes cannot have common sides or vertices. The goal is to correctly guess where the other player has made their shapes and gain points!
Answer the call!
Opponents will call out a number where they think a vertex is present on your board. If any of your shapes has a vertex on that number say ‘HIT’ else say ‘MISS’. Remember, honesty is the best policy! Don’t be sneaky! :P
Red and Green!
When you call out numbers, use strategy to guess where an opponent’s vertex might be. If it’s a ‘HIT’ mark the number in green, for ‘MISS’ mark it in red. Soon, you’ll have a map of red and green showing where all the vertices are!
It’s all about shapes, silly!
On your turn, you can either call out a vertex number OR guess an opponent’s shape. There are no points for vertices, only for guessing a shape. The player with the highest total points, wins! So, play smart and take calculated risks!
Don’t be tense about the fence!
There are exactly enough fences to make each of the four shapes, per player. Just make sure a vertex always meets a flat end and shapes don’t share sides or vertices. Place them right and you’re good to go!
Make educated guesses!
Both players make identical shapes, they just orient them differently. So, using the properties of the shapes, you can guess them once you have enough information. It’s all about using the power of elimination!
